Artifact Brewing Hatboro PA

A music loving geologist and an aerospace engineer with a passion for home brewing joined forces to create Artifact Brewing in Hatboro PA. A nano brewery with heart, the pair wanted to produce a small batch of beers that would pay homage to their favorite artists and historical sites. The result is an imaginative lineup of brews that include the Not Your Grandma’s Cranberry Sauce gose, Effervescense white grape saison and Still Life blackberry-raspberry milkshake IPA along with a variety of seasonal releases.

Taking the name of their local history museum, this family-friendly nano brewery is one of Montgomery County’s top craft beer destinations. Their taproom offers a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of room to stretch out and sip. They offer a great selection of in-house beers, as well as guest brews, wine and soda. The team also puts an emphasis on being philanthropic with a monthly Community Cup fundraiser and a Black is Beautiful Scholarship program.

The brewpub inside Doylestown’s historic state store is part of a growing trend in repurposing urban spaces to serve up a range of craft cocktails, wines and beers. Located inside the Lilly Salvatore cafe, it features a wood-paneled bar and modest rig, serving a limited draft lineup including tasty sasions and lagers plus a few IPAs and barrel-aged creations.

A side project of the managers at nearby J.J. Ratigan’s Brewing Company, this tiny brewpub in Elkins Park, PA is a hit with local beer lovers. It’s a laid-back spot where you can grab a pint and relax before or after a show at the historic Ambler Theater or ACT II Playhouse next door. The menu includes tasty sandwiches, flatbreads and salads.

With a punny Alice in Wonderland-themed name, this Horsham brewery is the state’s first (and only) Indigenous-owned and operated craft beer producer. The brewery’s brewer and co-owner Mark Dasher brings Native American themes to his brewing, with beers like the Futterwacken Scottish bourbon nitro ale and Tweedle Tea Vienna lager proving popular with patrons.

The Callowhill destination is a brewhouse with heart, earning Certified B Corporation status for its focus on social justice and sustainability. This brewery with a mission is a model of how to combine business with purpose, supporting employees with living wages and benefits plus a special initiative for former prisoners and those formerly homeless. Beer and activism are inseparable at Triple Bottom. They walk the green talk too, with electricity being pulled 100% from wind power and a commitment to diverting waste away from landfills. Bring Fido to enjoy the relaxed ambiance and beers at this pet-friendly brewery.
