Bill’s Best Brewery is a new micro-brewery and BBQ joint in Glenside PA. It offers draft beers like Due East Imperial Red Ale and a Skinny Angus Nitro Pub Stout, and a signature pork sandwich with three unique organic sauces and toppings.
Founded by Diane and Jason, the brewery opened March 14, 2015. They have been brewing beer and preparing delicious BBQ since 2011. The restaurant is open Thursdays through Saturdays from 5pm to 10pm.
They also have an outdoor patio space with plenty of seating and a large private beer garden, plus two flat screen TVs above the bar always showing the biggest games. They also offer a wide selection of mixed drinks, cider, seltzer and guest drafts, along with 4 packs and growler options to-go.
The brewery is family-friendly and hosts regular events for children. They have a healthy kids menu, high chairs and booster seats, changing tables, juices, homemade root beer and cream soda, and many board games to keep the kiddos busy.
Jason’s love of music began at age 16, when he bought a guitar, a Marshall amp and a Gibson Les Paul. He parlayed that into a radio career at WMMR, where he worked on the promotions staff and produced Mid-Day with Pierre Robert for ten years.
When he’s not brewing or preparing a delicious meal, you can hear him cracking the mic on his radio show every Saturday and Sunday from 6-10am. He can tell you the title, album and artist of any song playing on the radio!
Despite the fact that he has been in the business for a long time, Jason is still learning and improving his craft. He started as an assistant brewer at another local micro-brewery where he gained invaluable knowledge and mentorship. He now works as a brewer at Bill’s Best and enjoys sharing his passion for beer with the community.
He loves chatting with his customers, and is proud to say he has made some great friends along the way. You can find him at the brewery during happy hour (from 4 to 6pm) and on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays for their beer release parties.
Jason has been a fan of Bill’s Best ever since they first opened in 2012. The brewery is cozy and inviting, offering a great selection of artisanal craft beers alongside delicious BBQ from the onsite food trucks.
They have been a longtime supporter of AFTD, and have recently hosted their second annual 5Keg Fun Run on October 8. Registration is $20; participants can register anytime they are at the brewery, or on the day of the event.
