The team at Human Robot Brewpub just opened a new location in Jenkintown, PA. This is a huge move for the brewery and it’s great to see them expanding their presence.
The new brewpub is located in the former Borough Brewhouse space at 208 York Road. The building was originally owned by Neshaminy Creek Brewing, and the brewery recently bought it for a little over $1 million.
It has 40-foot ceilings and a lot of charm.
The beer is fantastic and the food is great too! The menu is split between German and American pub food.
There are a variety of styles on tap from traditional lagers and pilsners to more hazy IPAs and stouts. They also have a few fruited kettle sours and a nice selection of ciders on tap.
One thing I really like about the brewpub is that it has a large, open space and you can easily sit at a table and have a beer without a wait. The place is clean and the staff is very friendly.
I really enjoyed my visit and would recommend it to anyone who loves brewing. The lagers are excellent and the IPAs are also good.
They have a wide selection of craft beers and the staff is super friendly and helpful!
Another reason to go is that they are now open until two o’clock on Wednesday evenings. This is something that a lot of breweries are not doing and this is making the experience way more enjoyable for the younger crowd.
This is especially true for families with kids. The kids are allowed to run around and play, and the staff is very nice about it.
The beer is great too and the space is very spacious, so you can bring your entire family in and enjoy a brew together.
It’s also a great place to stop and grab a snack or a meal during your visit! You can get a cheeseburger, chicken sandy, fries and more.
There are a few tables to sit at as well. The place is quite a bit larger than the original Philly brewpub and the staff is very friendly and helpful!
The brewing team is led by Jake Atkinson, Chris Roller and Ken Correl. They have partnered with Herman’s At The Haus for the food menu, which is split between casual German fare and classic American pub food.
They also have a nice wine and cocktail list, too!
You can also order food online through a QR code or via their dining room kiosks, and the staff will deliver it right to your table. The whole restaurant is really great, and I can’t wait to come back and visit again soon!
I have only had a couple of beers here, but they were really good. I’m looking forward to trying more of their beers in the future!
The Jenkintown brewpub is the 3rd iteration of this building as a brewery. I hope that they have more success here than they did at their original location in Philadelphia.
